Hi, how is everyone? I have a question which may seem simple but i have been trying to copy some rails from layer to a new one but it does not seem to work. If you select the highlighted tracks, do copy or cut, activate a new layer and the paste, it still stays on the original layer. Is there another way ti take care of this? Thanks!

Select the item(s) in source layer.
Richt click on the target layer.
Select "Add selection"
