I think this program no need to work in background.

Maybe other users have different thoughts so I suggest a switch at settings defaulted to "off" or "0 FPS".

the app already throttles down to 10 FPS when it gets minimized.

    That's not a good idea. Situations like streaming, switching to a plugin or any other external window should not throttle down the studio.
