Leslie Geschrieben 31. Mai Geschrieben 31. Mai Hello, the connected picture shows route fitting in MBS:Upper picture contains 3 routes which can be combined but need strict to fit. Lower picture contains 2 routes which allows you much more freedom in planning but does not work currently. I suggest to re-think philosophy if possible. Working method: at route end program searches for free route at near. Not only free route edge. Of course if you are near to the edge, fitting must be pull you there so edge snapping will not change.

The splitting of tracks is only possible at joints, not arbitrarily in the middle. And there's a good reason for it. At any point where a vehicle transitions from one track piece to another, the Studio connects the train to a new track piece. At this point the studio is capable to choose from multiple possibilities.
Leslie Geschrieben 31. Mai Autor Geschrieben 31. Mai Hello, I can not catch it. At route end the studio searches an other route end. What is the problem to search of not only ends but route lines?
Goetz Geschrieben 31. Mai Geschrieben 31. Mai vor 31 Minuten schrieb Leslie: What is the problem to search of not only ends but route lines? The timing! There is an event "train enters track". It happens at every track joint. This event is triggered when a train crosses a joint. The event is a mandatory requirement for guiding vehicles along tracks. And this is the moment where a train can switch tracks. If you don't use the joints, you'd have to constantly monitor if another track is nearby. And then detect, if it is a track for the train. Or just some track end with another purpose that happens to begin here. Too much workload!
Leslie Geschrieben 31. Mai Autor Geschrieben 31. Mai But I wish to use joints! Event starts only at line end like now. But it is true: more work than now. --- Than anoter opinion: roads remain like now. But editor changes drastically: if you invoke a road editor than it starts MBS program (session) instead, when layout terrain is the selected road and you can use elements to manipulate. Restricted element set, e.g. not moving and can not invoke new editor. All other editor properties are available like gizmos and snapping. This drastically increase and ease creating.

Leslie Geschrieben 31. Mai Autor Geschrieben 31. Mai At the road end generally has no 32 other road line at near. So the problem is not so big. I think machine work can get by machines and creative part remains for humans. Not too fun to compute road lines, curves and fitting manually for 3 digits, when program can not show correct fit also. So this require long testing each line separatedly.
Leslie Geschrieben vor 12 Stunden Autor Geschrieben vor 12 Stunden I plan a route system with possibility of change lines between red and green lines at orange points. Not only 4 lines but at least 8. What is your suggestion to manifest this with acceptable work and material cost?
Goetz Geschrieben vor 11 Stunden Geschrieben vor 11 Stunden vor 12 Minuten schrieb Leslie: What is your suggestion ..? simple: Don't do it. It's not worth the effort (i.e. acceptable work and material cost)
Leslie Geschrieben vor 10 Stunden Autor Geschrieben vor 10 Stunden There is a solution... if you want to: A simple change in the program. Not only the edge of lines became connect points but you can choose anywhere. @Neo please develop this and creating became much easier.
