Hi

Since having to reinstall the program several weeks ago I have found that I am unable to translate from any language to English when I go into "Browse Community on line". When I click the right mouse button the only option is to translate to German, which somewhat defeats the object. The language flag in the top right is the USA flag. The only solution I have found is to open a previous saved page in Google Chrome and then I have no problem as the option shown is to translate to English.

Clearly there is a solution but so far it has defeated me. Any thoughts please.

Kind regards

Pete

Your right click menu is your Browsers context menu, where you can auto translate to what ever you have configured in your Browser.

Click on the flag to get to the english version of the website or use this link: https://www.3d-modellbahn.de/en/

@Neo Die meisten Webseiten zeigen die angezeigte Sprache im Selektor, nicht die, auf welche gewechselt werden kann. Das führ hier eventuell zur Verwirrung.

Hi Sinbert

Yep I fully undedrstand what you have said about the browser. Generally speaking I use Google Chrome and don't have any issue with that. Any posts that I pick up through that then the browser offers a translation into English but the one used by MBS only provides translations to German, which kind of defeats the object. I have tried, in vein, to find where in said browser I can select English as the translation medium but thus far without success. The language selected in the MBS forum has the USA flag, so I assume it should default to US English but it does not seem to want to do so. Clearly if I can find out where in the MBS browser to make such an alteration then the problem would be solved. I don't really understand why I now have this issue since reinstalling V9. It was fine before then.

I have my browser in english and it offers me to translate selected text to english. Maybe check these settings: chrome://settings/?search=translate

And check the settings in this widget: translate.jpeg

Hi Sintbert

Apologies for missing the "t" from your name earlier. The settings in chrome are not the issue. MBS defaults to Microsoft Edge as the default browser and I cannot find how to change this to Chrome. I have also checked through the Microsoft Edge settings and cannot see where to make any language adjustment.

Kind regards

That rather makes a nonsence of the "Browse community on line" at the bottom of the home page don't you think!

@Neo Can you throw any light on this anomaly please. It must surely be possible to select to translate to English through the link on the home page, "Browse community online"

Kind regards

You're a star. Many thanks for that. Now why didn't I think of that. The assumption was that it was already set as my default browser. Lesson learnt, very much appreciated.
