Hallo everyone,

It has been a while since I have been around. This was mainly due to the Christmas season but also the cost for me to upgrade to V9 from V8.5.

I downloaded the trail version of V9 I think in early December and have been exploring the new developments. However, due to idiotic politics in my country the Euro versus SA Rand has gone crazy with the effect at the moment I cannot justify the expense.

To give you some details: (R = SA Rand - our currency):

V6: Purchased 16 June 2021: Full price paid: R 846.90

V7: Purchased 07 August 2022: With discount: R 611.75

V8.5: Purchased 26 July 2024: With discount: R516.26

If I want to buy V9 today, even with the discount, it will cost me R 760.11 - a massive increase of 47% as to what I paid for V8.5. and as a retired pensioner I cannot justify this yet. 

I still love my MBS and just yesterday published my latest layout I started in December 2024 before family and friends arrived.

    there is currently a special offer for purchasing V9 on Steam. According to Steam's price list, you can purchase V9 for R330.00.

    Hi Neo,

    Once again I have to ask for help. My V9 Professional is working well but how do I get all the data from my V8.5. updated to the V9 version please?

    In V8.5, go to settings (cog wheel at the bottom of the start screen) and open the Extra submenu in the backup and restore dialog:

    Save your content to a file. Remember the name and location of this file.
    Now start your V9, open the same dialog and select the Restore database from file option to import that saved file.
    It should contain all your personal data (layouts, private models etc.)
