Curt84328
A question about the ICE line. Here in Utah we have a train (Front Runner) traveling between Ogden Provo in the north to the south. Front Runner has a diesel locomotive and controls at one end, and when the train turns, there is a control on the other side for the other direction. ICE contains an electric motor at one end and the other controls?
BahnLand
Hello Curtis, the German ICE1 has an electric power car at each end. The German ICE2 has an electric power car at one end and a control cab coach at the other end. With ICE3 and ICE6, the electric power elements are allocated to all vehicles (look here at pictures 15 and 16). The ICE-T contains control cab coaches at both ends (the center coaches are driven). With the ICE-TD (Diesel power) all vehicles are driven. Many greetingsBahnLand
