  1. Hi Goetz, I didn't think that you also could see his reply, but I should have known. The thing is that even after 1 or 2 days the other PC doesn't show the latest form of the layout and that's a problem. Eric
  2. Hi Goetz, Here is Neo's reply which dosn't help. Hi Eric, due to internal caching mechanisms, new content is only downloaded from the online catalog every 30 minutes. Please note that the online catalog is not designed for personal backups or file transfers between private PCs. The online catalog should only be used for sharing layouts with other people. Kind regards, Neo
  3. Hi Neo, Thanks for your reply. That's not what I wanted to hear, so can you tell me if there is a way to access my layout from 2 PCs? The thing is though even accounting for the uploading not being what I require the problem remains that even after a days wait my layout on another PC has not changed from before. Eric
  4. Author Posted 36 minutes ago Morning Neo I have just been on my other PC and once again the layout hasn't been updated, so here what I do when I upload to the internet. 1. Click on Save and Share. 2. Layouts to Extend then next. 3. Then next again. 4. The green bar comes across the box for upload. 5. A green circle with a tick in the centre appears then I click close. Help Eric

  6. Morning Neo, I have tried your method of accessing the layout and found it works very easily. Thank you.
  7. Morning Goetz, I have not saved anything differently, but at the moment things are showing on both of the PCs as they should. The only thing I have only done differently is I have followed Neo's advice for finding the layout.
  8. Hi Neo, Thank you I will take a look tomorrow. Eric
  9. Thanks, what I will do tomorrow I will do some more work on it and then see what with the second PC and then update you.
  10. Thanks, Goetz, I will go through each stage of what I am doing tomorrow and then let you know step by step. We will have to do it this way as you can't watch what I do. Until tomorrow, Eric
  11. Goetz I have done as you told me but I find that when I go onto my 2nd PC the layout is not updated. It's not showing in the Layouts to extend folder but in New which kind of makes sense. Have you any idea why? Thanks Eric
  12. Hi Goetz I have done as you told me but I find that when I go onto my 2nd PC the layout is not updated. It's not showing in the Layouts to extend folder but in New which kind of makes sense. Have you any idea why? Thanks Eric
  13. Hi, Yes, I think so as well. But thanks for your time and help, I always say that having more than one option is a good thing. Thanks again Eric
  14. Hi Goetz Thanks for doing this for me it looks straight forward to do so I think that this is the way to go. It will be a few weeks before I do this as I have started from scratch and once I have my tracks in place then it will be done. So keep your eye open for the big reveal, then I will start on my landscape. Eric
  15. Hi Goetz, Thanks for your reply, if I publish my layout to the online catalogue who can see it? Can you please tell me how to go about doing this perhaps as a numbered system eg? 1234 and so on, as this will help me enormously, there is no panic for doing this as I am going back to the eye hospital tomorrow and will be offline for 1 or 2 days. Thanks again, Eric
  16. Hi Thomas, I now have Box installed as well as 3d-M on both PCs. Now some questions. 1. How do I put a layout into Box? 2.Do I then have to move the layout from Box into 3d -M on the other computer and if so then how do I do it? 3. If this is the case then do I have to reverse the procedure after any extra layout work done? Thanks again, Eric
  17. Thanks again Thomas, I will have a look at those two cloud sites later. I have also had a look at save as on the 3d-m site but can't find where it says e.g. save to one drive. Eric
  18. Hi Curt, I also wondered about space on one-time as my daughter has had trouble storing photos and music on there because of lack of space. Please carry on with "to be continued". As Thomas has kindly replied with a solution then I will try both methods and then use the one which I prefer. Eric
  19. Thank you for your suggestion, yes I am using the Windows 10 operating system so there should be no problem. I take it that I use the save as option in 3d-modellbahn and then save to one drive? Thank you, Eric
  20. Curt that's brilliant thanks very much. Once I have seen the "to be continued" I will give it a try. This may be anytime up to a week as I am supposed to be getting my daughter's old laptop and time-wise how long is a ball of string. I will keep you posted when this all happens. Thanks again, Eric
  21. Thank you, Curt. Does this mean that with my layout being on my home PC after I have created a folder on the laptop any work done whilst out and about will then transfer back to my home PC and update the layout there? Please bear with me as all this I new to me and I am now in my mid 70s. Eric
  22. Good Morning everyone. If I logged into my account would it possible to access the same layout on both a PC and a Laptop thus allowing any work to be done say on the Laptop during a rail journey? Thanks Eric
  23. Thanks again Goetz, All is now well and I now have a copy of my layout on the new baseboard to allow me to practice on, I did know about saving the extra copy under save as but it had never crossed my mind to do it until you mentioned it. You are a lifesaver. Eric
