  1. Sorry to ask this but how do I do it?

If I had asked this question weeks ago it would have saved me quite a lot of time.

I have in the past redone my tracks onto a new board about four times now.

So in future, the first thing to do is ask the question before doing anything.

Looking forward to your reply, and thanks again.

  2. Thanks for the reply Curt,

That wasn't what I was thinking of, but it looks as though it would suffice.

The video I have seen was by Goetz and he did it quite easily in one movement, but when I tried I get a rectangle that spills over the sides and doesn't follow the shape of the valley.

So that now leaves the question, "How do I do your version, please"?

  3. Goetz,

As well as the board area being made larger I also made the thickness slightly thicker, perhaps this is the trouble.

I that's the case then I have a problem as I don't remember what the original thickness was.

I have just pulled two pieces of track out of the online catalogue and connected them with no problem, which makes me think that it's a thickness issue.

  4. I am starting a new project and have configured the board for mountains and valleys before starting.

I need answers please to the two following questions.

    1. there is no thickness showing for the edge of the board only the white coloured corner pieces which look the correct size. This means that the base of any valley can be seen hanging down.

How do I get the board edge to show?

    2. When I lay any tracks they don't couple together and show a white mark around them.

I assume that this is because the height is no longer set at at zero.

Is there a setting to over come this?

thank you in advance for any help given.

  5. Hi Goetz

Firstly thanks for your good wishes and at the moment things a looking good.

I have today watch your Twitch video which I downloaded in case it had disappeared I hope that's ok with you.

In it you made your brush either 10,000 or 100,000 times larger to cover the base board, I have tried to do this but find that my brush always reverts back to around the 800 mark which is too small.

Have you any idea why this is happening and what is the solution.

    Best wishes,

    Eric

  6. Hi Goetz,

I have just seen your reply as I had an appointment at the eye hospital yesterday for a small operation.

Because of this, I am not typing this message.

It's the raising of the baseboard which I am having a mental block with.

I am assuming that raising the board is the equivalent of a thicker board or is it a sandwich with a void filling.

When the board has been raised is the track which has been laid still at ground level on the top layer.

Could you please talk me through all the procedure including digging a river/valley and forming a mountain as well as the colouring of them?

I know it's a lot to ask but I can't get my head around it even after watching the videos, is it an age thing I wonder.

There is no rush as I don't think that I will be using the PC until the weekend at the earliest because of yesterday.

By the way, what is twitch?

    Thanks for all your help.

    Eric
