I've used this model on numerous occasions and have never noticed the strange colour change on the wings. Have I been completely blind to this in the past or is this something that has only recently appeared. If the former then the "funny farm" awaits me. If the latter then do you know if this can be rectified. I see so many comments about texture issues with other models I just wonder if this might also apply to your model plane.

Your views on this would be greatly appreciated.

This has nothing to do with the texture. It is due to the studio's shadow function.

Disable shadows in the settings, and the artifacts on the texture will disappear.

This is a model error, the wings contain incorrect geometry data.

@JimKnopf, die Flügel haben in der letzten Detailstufe eine andere Position als im Hauptmodell, wodurch Schatten entstehen, wo eigentlich keine sein sollten (für die Schattengenerierung werden niedrigere Detailstufen verwendet). Hast du noch die Originaldaten und kannst das Modell reparieren?

Thanks Ronald I'll give it a try tomorrow and let you know although Neo says it is a problem with the model so time will tell.

@JimKnopfThe wings are positioned differently at the final level of detail than in the main model, creating shadows where none should exist (lower levels of detail are used for shadow generation). Do you still have the original data and can you repair the model?

Thaks for the reply Neo. You have no doubt seen the suggestion from Ronald which I will try tomorrow but clearly a reply from @JimKnopf would clear everything.

Disabling shadows to hide shadow artefacts caused by broken models is only a workaround, only JimKnopf can repair the model.

Da muss ich schauen ob ich die Modelldateien noch habe. Ich baue meine Modelle zuerst immer in der LOD Stufe 00 für die LOD 02 lösche ich dann Gruppen bis die erforderlichen 5000 Polygone erreicht sind, also müssten die Flügel ihre Positionen nicht verändert haben. Wenn ich die Dateien noch habe schaue ich mir das gerne noch einmal an.

I very much appreciate you taking the trouble to see if you still have the relevant files. Fingers crossed you will find them. In the meantime I have taken Ronald's advice and disabled shadowing, which has temporarily solved the issue.

Hallo @Neo und alle , habe die Tragflächen vom Airbus repariert und möchte auch die Beleuchtung anpassen muss ich dann das Modell unter einem anderen Namen speichern oder brauche nur das geänderte Modell neu veröffentlichen.

Hallo Ronald, ich habe das Profil der Tragflächen in LOD2 etwas geändert und geschaut ob die Artefakte im MBS noch zu sehen sind. Jetzt möchte dem Airbus noch die neue Beleuchtung spendieren.

No problem Axel. Once again many thanks for taking the trouble to sort this out. The layout that I am currently working on is designed to use as many SX1's as possible, I'm already up to 36. I've attached a screenshot of part of the layout thus far. Much work still to do but it's coming along nicely.

Solange du nur Funktionen hinzufügst, kann du bestehende Modelle ersetzen.

die Lichtkegel der Landelichter sind aus _LC Gruppen erstellt, die will ich durch die neue Beleuchtung ersetzen. Wenn ich dich richtig verstanden habe ist das dann ein neues Modell mit neuen Namen. Richtig?

Die alten LC-Gruppen kannst du auch beim bestehenden Modell ändern. Es geht bei Modelländerungen immer darum, ob Bestandsanlagen Probleme bekommen, z.B. wenn eine Anlage eine Animation, eine bestimmte Variation oder einen Schalter eines Modells referenziert, den es nach einer Änderungen dann nicht mehr gibt. LC-Gruppen konnten früher nicht referenziert werden, du kannst sie also gefahrlos ändern.
