Hi, auch bei mir wird die Berechtigung versagt! Derrick

Hello Douglas, perhaps this may be helpful to you: The colour I think to be most adequate can be found on ID 8BA4A33E-1D93-4DF1-9923-B168C1019F40 from the MBS catalogue. I repeat: For me it is not deciding, that every detail corresponds to history. I would be absolutely content if all the roofs are dark. Don't worry too much. Advising is much easier than doing! Best regards Derrick

Hello Douglas, hello all other participants of correspondence about looking of coaches of DB in the 80s! I do not intend to blow up the discussion about colour of the roofs again. But I am convinced that at this time the roofs had a shade of silver. As a proof I enclose two homemade photos of coaches on my real model layout in Märklin Z. I started it just at the time we are talking of, i.e. early 1980s. They show, too, that the first series of the ivory/ocean blue coaches had this roof. We know them also from MBS catalogue. I don't matter what will be the choice of majority. I also like the models of Douglas with the dark roofs. The main thing is to have coaches from that time. Best regards Derrick

Hello Douglas, the colour of the coach in blue seems to be out of discussion. The silvery roof is the version I took out of the Märklin catalogue from the early 1980s. That was the time when DB changed its colours to ivory/ocean blue. So, it must have been the last version of the old coloration. The two-coloured coaches were only experiences that didn't last for long. But I'm not overly accurate and would accept also the dark roof as the standard for your models. Best regards Derrick

Hello Douglas, I just come from updating V8 and indeed I got the model on my layout. We need still a 5th texture: Blue. That was the longtime colour at DB. By the way, i clicked your link to Google drive for Stephanie. I find several files but I cannot open them. Best regards Derrick
-
Hello Douglas, I need your help still in an other respect: By a regrettable error I deleted the mbe-file of Stephanie 01. Trying to restore it from your downloaded Google link I were facing error remarks from the programs, i.e. V7 and V8. Is your link invalid or do you have any other explanation for this? I think that it is due to the change of version in the meantime. Thanks in advance for your help and best regards Derrick

Hello Douglas, Your photos look nice. But I were unable to get the models with the code in your message. My fault or what? Please help. Best regards Derrick
-
Die Begründung scheint stimmig. Ich habe kein Problem mit dieser Variante. Derrick
-
Hello Douglas, I vote for option number 1. Both varieties are in use in the catalogue. I think it to be a good idea, however, to find all components of a train under one item number - except of the locomotives, of course. Best regards Derrick
-
Hello Douglas, that's really good news!!!! Best regards Derrick

Hello Douglas, This morning I have downloaded your drafts to my layout. The photos below show them in "action". The green version is coupled to 2nd class coach with the new texture of BahnLand. The other one is joined to an original model from the catalogue. Wouldn't you agree to my impression that your drafts seem a little "Cinderella-like"? Would a be too much work for you or too much power-taking for the computer if the resolution of the textures would be increased? Not the details in the interior are important but the "clearness" of the outside lines, particularly the scripts and the window frames. By the way, the DB sign looks to me like mirror written, at least on the left side. Also the colours could be a little improved. If you need good examples of the original coaches please check this link http://www.modellbau-wiki.de/wiki/DB_Bpmz I do hope you won't blame me for my critics. I'm so grateful to you for undertaking all efforts. And if there are good reasons for not improving the drafts I'll have to accept them and will have the coaches running on my layout anyway. Very best regards Derrick

Great! Thank you so much, Douglas! Derrick
-
Hello Douglas, you really didn't disappoint me. The coach is almost perfect. I'm eagerly looking forward to the respective file. Thank you for your engagement. Enjoy the evening. Best regards Derrick
-
Would you mind to make an alternative texture in dark green, too, as on my first picture? It would complete the train I could establish with the data received from BahnLand. Regards Derrick
-
Hello Douglas, the coach is already looking very nice. I think that there existed also a version with dark roof. In compliance with the other coaches of the train it should be silver. The large doors for luggage should be a little more accentuated. Enclosed a picture from the Märklin catalogue 1983/84. Have a nice day Derrick

Hello Douglas, we received very good help from BahnLand as it seems to me. The coach in your draft is near to reality. You have to improve only the colours (look at my photos from my enquiry) and replace the sign of the railway company by DB. Thank you for your assistance. Good evening Derrick

Hello Douglas, don't worry! I myself have no idea of modelling. I admire persons who are able to do that. You gave me some impressive examples of how nice models can be. I think of the tennis crew and the children. So, when you presented the SNCF locomotive I saw a chance for me that you were able to make models from other programs available for MBS. But if this is connected with too much work and expense of time for you I am, of course, ready to withdraw my enquiry. Kind regards Derrick

Schon verstanden.

HG Derrick

Hello Douglas, thank you for your reply. I'm pleased to learn that you'll try to fulfil my wishes. Perhaps, this information will help you: Waggon 1st, blue = Am Waggon 2nd, green = Bm Luggage coach, green = Dm902 or Düm 902 Luggage coach, yellow/blue = Düm 902 Restaurant coach, red = WRmh132 or WRümh 132 These are the classification numbers of Deutsche Bundesbahn, as far as I understand from the Märklin catalogue. These names are not easy to read in the pictures I sent you. Good chance with your efforts! Best wishes Derrick
-
Hello Douglas, I found your model of SNCF (french) locomotives and waggons. Could you find out my waggons of DB before IC express trains became the standard. Perhaps you are able to fulfil my wishes. Best regards Derrick
-
Hello Douglas, Thank you very much for sending me the models. I could get all selected persons first to "my models" and from there on the layout. What about the different textures your models had before, are they available, too? It wouldn't be indispensable to have them but the variety would allow more identical persons on one place. Best regards Derrick
-
Hello Douglas, it seems to me that the problem with your great models is a question of copyright. I understand very well that this is rather frustrating for you. But I understand the difficulties of the MBS operator, too. He would be responsible as the first one in case of copyrights being affected. If there is a possibility of getting your models individually, I would like to have all those I have installed in my layout: All tennis players Little boy running Little girl running Little boy standing and Stephanie, all variations. Kind regards Derrick

Hello Douglas, I wonder whether you're aware that all your nice figures are represented only by huge question marks on my display. Is that due to your applications for taking them definitely into the catalogue? Best regards Derrick
