Dear fellow MBSers, I have discovered another of the quality features of this software, namely the usage of track "Ohne Bettung" (without ballast) Using this option I feel it is possible to create better looking track beds. To achieve a little less of a "Marklin C track" look and a little more of a prototypical look For the purpose I have made a new track texture, that only works correctly with the "Ohne Bettung" function turned on. It is a track with wooden sleepers and slighty rusty rails. When this is combined with raising the ground, with the height tool, to create the ballast elevation and adding ground textures for the ballast and "dirt" on track, I think a nice visual look can be created. All this will demand that "Grid size" of the layout is set to 1 cm (max 2) to ensure textures can be placed correctly on the track. Pictures: First picture shows what I have used until now "Mit bettung" The second picture shows the new track texture "Ohne Bettung" The thirt picture shows the new track texture combined with height alignment of the ground and ground textures. Comment for possible improvements very welcome The track will be available for download in a few days. Kind regards, Henrik

A work of beauty Reinhard

Very best wishes from me to you Reinhard. Take care of yourself and we look forward to your little engine when health and time allows it. Best regards, Henrik

Hi Maxwei, very much looking forward to driving that beautifully made steamer Kind regards, Henrik

Hi Reinhard, as so many other Maerklin people, this was my very first model train locomotive. Progress looks great and very much looking forward to see your continued work on the engine in 2019 Gruss, Henrik

And then to a little new year status on the layout. The 5th and last module can now be seen (2nd from the left): A large passenger "Endbahnhof" that will feed the paradestrecke with consists. But the work on that wont start quite yet. Gruss, Henrik

A little industry side track is added to the Brummiberg line. Lumber can now be picked up and moved down to Brummiberg village for further transport away.

Hi Bahnland, very kind of you to inform me about the update. It seems all is functioning fine after the update, thank you Gruss, Henrik

The famous gourmet restaurant "Landgasthof Bahnland" now has it own stop. People take the train up here and queue up to enjoy the one star food and the special brew "Graf Andy Bier" Gruss, Henrik

Hi Bahnland, wonderful work you are doing on those flexible tracks. And I can still get amazed over the versatility/quality of Neo's software and the talent of the many content creators. Thank you all The "Brummiberg" line is now able to make the 13% climbs in the cold...

Hi Bahnland, thank you so much for that clarification. I will check them out right away Gruss, Henrik

Hi Brummi, Catenary problem solved Hi Bahnland, What is that name of your racks track? Or has it not been released yet? I might miss things being created due to the language barrier... Gruss, Henrik

I was not happy with the leveled mountain shapes, so have worked from scratch on a more "modest" winter mountain design with more interesting train driving possibilities. Here is the nearly final mountain design without final textures and details. Long way to go but having fun playing in the snow From the local ski resort town "Brummiberg" the "Edelweiss" local train takes the skiers up to the lifts. On the way the train stops at the mountain view restaurant. Gruss, Henrik

Vielen dank Brummi And the first concept of the exclusive ski resort town "Berg Brummi" is now coming together. (no details and final textures yet) Gruss, Henrik

Hi Brummi, I know 1 layout creator, and possible at least 6 more, that would be very happy if you would publish these wonderful trees "Blautanne11" and "Blautanne12" in winter clothes Gruss, Henrik
-
Hi Brummi, those are very kind words. I think far too kind but thank you. Rolf Kniper is a legend in layout design and painting. I just like to paint in 3D Here the first concept of the snowline (Schneegrenze). This is very difficult to get to look decent. But I will continue to work on it. One challenge is the lack of your great looking low poly "Blautanne11" in a winter version. Do you still have the 3D model and texture available? I mean if so, perhaps someday a winter version could be created... Gruss, Henrik

Vinter is here and Christmas approaching. Love snow and had to create a concept for the 4th module; "Ewiger Schnee" (Eternal snow) This is very early without real mountain shapes, textures and buildings. Only a lot of "Gleiswendel" And with Roter Brummers wonderful little electric "nebenbahn" electric locomotive and wagons there will be transport to the very top...

Hi Andy, I have had the great pleasure of visiting Rüdesheim years ago and loved the town. So I had to open a "Biergarten" on the main street Well, more of a "Weingarten"... And then bring us to human viewing perspective. First beer or glass of wine is on me, all are invited

First textures and buildings starting to form the small "Rhein stadt" @Andy Thanks for the tip, have tried the tool now
