Hello @Neo , as a true amateur I only want to enyoy the studio. And it does the job for me.
Yet I always went to the new professional version when it came out. And so on in the future.Since I have much pleasure in publishing layouts, it is possible we have now to monitor which new features we use from the +package, and the influence on users that do not have the package. Example. If I use the new feature doors open/close affected by the direction of driving. Will my layout still work for a user that has not the +package ? ( and in the same version )
Wich features/bug fixes come with an update and wich only with the +package can be important for us users in the future ?
Not at the moment, you are too busy with this beta. But an exact indication what's in the package and what is for the normal update is welcome.

It should be nice if we find in this list a sign indicating "package +" . To see the extra's ?
Why, it seems I can test a lot of the new features, but not all. Example the rotation of the paint brush is not available.
MBS 8.5.2.0 / Auto update to beta is on / English version.

Hello @JEF GORIS and other members that maybe are interested. I kept my promise, the paper explaining Lists and Keywords in the event management (EV) is finished.
This "To do document and excercises" is for beginners that want to use Keywords. It is not intended for experienced users.
Not a manual but a to do paper.Keyword - List part 3B.pdf ( pdf in Dutch/English )
In part B we will handle events triggered by all objects with the same keyword. We use the teleport to a virtual depot to explain this.
There is also a part to combine the keyword with a "variable extended". This is a little more advanced.The solutions of the excercises are found here : Keyword B excercises.mbp

This "To do document and excercises" is for total beginners that want to use Keywords. However you should have some experience with the graphical event management. (EV)
Keyword - List part 2A.pdf ( pdf in Dutch / English ).
In part A ( here ) we will handle "For objects referencing a Keyword" , this remind us of the excercises with lists.
But this pdf. handles the less interesting part of Keywords. In the second part ( will follow soon) we handle events that are triggered by all objects with the same keyword.You find the solutions of the excercises here. But please try to make them yourself.

Hello, for me, that's the case. But for now I use an object variable for it in the graphical EV when I need a local variable. But of course I can use a local Lua variable.
In the beginning of my experience with the studio I did more in Lua that I understood first. Because some people want to stay with the graphical EV and even hate Lua, I changed the most to the graphical EV. And we can do very much with the graphical EV. I think I could use a kind of local variable too in the graphical EV.Kind regards, Herman

Hello @tim-fischertechnik , I looked further because I really do like your tutorial, and the code.
The yellow contact "GK Bahnsteig 1" does the job : opening/closing the doors and a new depart. And the steam train goes trough.When the "L1 - DB 212" comes a second time to the station, the same problem with the doors. Open, but stay open. ( "Halt" ) is lit.

I only looked at your layout for a short time. After download the "L1 - DB 212" opens his doors. And they stay open even if you wait. They will stay open because there is no deferred instruction waiting at that time. I did'nt do anything yet.
When we press the "Durchfahrtschalter Asig P2" it goes to green "Durchfarht" as is planned. The signal goes to "1-Hp2 langsamfahrt" , ok. But the train drives on with open doors.

Click on the picture of the mbp in the forum, and en let it go to your download map ( in windows ).
When you have it there. Start V8 , go to online catalog. You can open it in your V8. You do have V8 ?

Hello Pete. . Yes the "Empty" vehicle is the problem. If you do not use the vehicle itself but a trigger ( vehicle) , there is always for the EV a correct vehicle there on the track contact. If not it would not be triggered.
Then use a variable in the vehicle , if that variable exist, look in the variable which train it is.
Does this help, or do I have to make/give an little .mbp to demonstrate ? Maybe @Goetz has a little example in his sleeve ?

But in my paper I want to force you to make the exercices, the only way to get further. ( I know not a real manual, but a to do booklet ).For other members : the question was why does the lights do not go out ( see first picture )
- You need to use the correct animation in stead of "All animations". (picture 1)
- You cannot choose the correct animation for "Object Iteration". (picture 1)
- So start first with a single object that has the correct animation. And there you can just choose the correct animation. (picture 2)
- Then change it to iteration. (picture 3)
Try it please.
