I spent quite a long time experimenting with distances, speeds, multiple contacts and more, but in the end decided that for me, only a traffic light system worked perfectly. There have been many explanations, too, but the 'counter in/counter out' method just seems to be fatally flawed. I would be happy to learn of any new developments that solve the issue, but meanwhile, I use traffic lights. Guten Abend Dirk... There is no obligation to 'upgrade' to v8, so, if, despite the assurance of a money-back guarantee, there are doubts as to its suitability, it's easy to simply continue with one's existing version. I think a concrete example might be called for, so that the extent and limits of these new functions can be better assimilated. I am quite used to using _Custom multi-texture files, with an associated Emissive file if appropriate, but I don't understand if a User can use his/her own Texture file for labels, and have them 'lit' by an Emissive file, unless a suitable new Emissive file is to be uploaded along with the new Texture. Is this the case, or have I mis-understood again..? Thanks for your explanations above, and thanks in advance for even more clarity on this subject of Emissive labels. I have an 'Edit' entry in the menu for items in the Catalogue, from where I can choose 'Save', and 'Export' is an option. That's how I get the Mbe file. Once the Freesound site is back up and running (currently down for maintenance...), I will be able to look through the sounds referenced and render them compatible with MBS. I compose my own music, and am familiar with sample manipulation; I am quite willing to upload suitable files for inclusion in the Catalogue, once approved. A bit of patience while the site sorts itself out and we'll try the experiment... The paint can be restored, by exporting the model as '.mbe'. This can be opened with WinRar, and the relevant '_Colo_0.dds' Texture file edited (I used an eye-dropper to copy the tint, then a broad brush to cover the whole area...). The edited 'dds' file is then returned to the 'mbe' file and imported into MBS. Here's the result... Der Lack kann wiederhergestellt werden, indem das Modell als '.mbe' exportiert wird. Diese kann mit WinRar geöffnet und die entsprechende '_Colo_0.dds'-Texturdatei bearbeitet werden (ich habe eine Pipette verwendet, um die Tönung zu kopieren, dann einen breiten Pinsel, um die gesamte Fläche abzudecken ...). I shall use it as a template in taking apart my crane, to be rebuilt, hoping to get this exact functionality. OK, I'll retire the models from the On-line Catalogue, and keep them in my local 'My 3d Models'. Anyone wanting to include a model in their own layout can send me a PM; I shall return the .gtlf source model or 'mbe' model, which can then be imported into their own system. Thanks, Karl. I understand all of that, and that is what I did, so that the models could be approved (or not...). Now all is back as if I had done none of that. I could go back over all the models, re-write the description, in English and in German and present them again, without the 'Draft' check box, as I did last time. How many times does this have to be done..? If they are refused, that's not a problem to me (I would prefer to know why, but that's optional...), but I am now past 72, and the hours, days, weeks... left to me are quite precious. Doing things, I have no problem with. Doing things over and over with no result is not an option. I renewed them as Drafts for long enough to allow them to be reviewed, and they have been. Now they are either to go into the Catalogue, eventually, after I so publish them, or they have to be withdrawn. I cannot continue perpetually renewing, and I will not perpetually present them for approval. For those wishing to have them permanently in their layouts, I have already offered a solution, which I can do, once, and it will be done. Repeating the same gestures over and over, hoping for different results is one of the symptoms of madness; I count myself as sane. I'm sure others manage to do this without these tribulations, but I don't know what I'm doing differently. I have no criticism of @Neo, and have the greatest respect for the work that goes into this splendid software, but cannot pierce through this fog of my ignorance as to how to make it work for me (or rather, for those wishing to use my models...). Ich könnte alle Modelle noch einmal durchgehen, die Beschreibung neu schreiben, auf Englisch und auf Deutsch, und sie erneut präsentieren, ohne das Kontrollkästchen „Entwurf“, wie ich es letztes Mal getan habe. Wie oft muss das gemacht werden..? Wenn sie abgelehnt werden, ist das kein Problem für mich (ich würde lieber wissen warum, aber das ist optional ...), aber ich bin jetzt über 72 und die Stunden, Tage, Wochen ..., die mir verbleiben, sind ziemlich kostbar . Dinge zu tun, mit denen ich kein Problem habe. Dinge immer und immer wieder ohne Ergebnis zu tun, ist keine Option. Good evening, Derrick... I'm sorry, but I really will never understand how all this is supposed to work. I have carefully kept all of my published models in a specific folder in 'My 3D Models'. I had published each, as a Draft, and renewed at the beginning of each month. All from the same folder, so I know exactly what's published and what isn't (I've so many more models; this allows me to keep track...). A while back, I made the effort, as has been suggested many times, to present the models that Members are using, for inclusion in the Catalogue, and published each of them fully, with translated descriptions, variants, animation et al. I checked later, and each of the models had the mention 'Published, awaiting approval' or similar. Now, when I look, none of my models are published, even in Draft state, and I don't know whether anything is wrong with them, or why they are no longer available to others. I am unwilling to start publishing again, even in Draft mode, if they are not fit for the Catalogue. This, in itself, doesn't bother me, as I still have use of all these models, and many more, but it's a great pity for those who have included them in their layouts. The lack of communication is, to me, a great disappointment. I have a method, which would solve the problems for anyone wanting to continue with these models. I can make them all available outside of MBS, so that anyone can download them and create them for themselves in their own local catalogue. If there is no way of getting these models into the official Catalogue this could be a solution; I would rather they be included, or at least be informed that they are not suitable, and why. Vor einiger Zeit habe ich mich bemüht, wie schon oft vorgeschlagen, die von den Mitgliedern verwendeten Modelle zur Aufnahme in den Katalog vorzustellen, und jedes von ihnen vollständig veröffentlicht, mit übersetzten Beschreibungen, Varianten, Animationen usw. Ich habe später nachgesehen, und jedes der Modelle hatte die Erwähnung „Veröffentlicht, wartet auf Genehmigung“ oder ähnliches. Wenn ich jetzt nachschaue, ist keines meiner Modelle veröffentlicht, nicht einmal im Entwurfsstatus, und ich weiß nicht, ob etwas mit ihnen nicht stimmt oder warum sie anderen nicht mehr zur Verfügung stehen. Ich bin nicht bereit, wieder mit der Veröffentlichung zu beginnen, auch nicht im Entwurfsmodus, wenn sie nicht für den Katalog geeignet sind. Das an sich stört mich nicht, da ich all diese Modelle und noch viele mehr verwende, aber es ist sehr schade für diejenigen, die sie in ihre Anlagen aufgenommen haben. Der Mangel an Kommunikation ist für mich eine große Enttäuschung. Ich habe eine Methode, die die Probleme für jeden lösen würde, der mit diesen Modellen weitermachen möchte. Ich kann sie alle außerhalb von MBS verfügbar machen, sodass jeder sie herunterladen und für sich selbst in seinem eigenen lokalen Katalog erstellen kann.
